We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Sales Representative to work across the Mackay region. This role is responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities and closing sales to achieve quotas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services.

Accountabilities

Key accountabilities include:

Achieve Sales Targets

  • “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling, presentations etc)
  • Evaluate customers skills, needs, and build productive long-lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets

Track and Monitor sales pipeline

  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Research accounts and generate or follow up sales leads
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
  • Maintain and increase client database within your assigned territory
  • Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data

Essential Skills & Prior Experience

  • Proven sales experience preferably in the construction industry
  • Good knowledge of Paint and Render
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Experience working with Salesforce) or similar CRM
  • Proven knowledge of different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Computer use competency
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Manufacturing / industrial sector / trade supplies industry experience highly regarded!
